Programs: KINDERGARTEN

Children between 5-6 years of age participate in our exciting kindergarten program. We place a special emphasis on leadership, building math skills and reading skill set.

Program

The 5 -6 year olds are beginning to unfold as young leaders, beginning readers, and budding mathematicians. The third year is the most fruitful part of the Montessori Primary experience. Everything children have internalized during the 1st and 2nd years comes together to create a unique way of learning. Kindergarten class is mostly with 7-8 students with well experienced Montessori Teacher. Children will work on Montessori work books along with corresponding readers, math work sheets and memory games.

Hand on science experiments, cooking lessons, nature walks are part of the curriculum. Once a week library visits to down town Herndon, special advanced Spanish and Music programmers, volunteer opportunities in the area and field trips are offered to Kindergartens which transportation will be provided by the school van.
